Kenneth Buff I'll probably catch up on some King novels (maybe reread a couple). I have a book loaded up on my Kindle right now that King recommends, but I can't recall the name (just started it). I also picked up a copy of The Color of Law: A Forgotten History of How Our Government Segregated America, which I'm pretty excited about, that one will go to the top of the reading pile as soon as it comes in.
Kenneth Buff Yep, the sequel is already written. Should have the final draft completed and fully edited later this year, probably around winter. Right now I'm getting ready to release the next book in the Sunborn series. It's also a sci-fi, but is a quite a bit darker than Dick and Henry. Sort of like the opposite side of the same coin.
Kenneth Buff I'm not sure about this one. I'm currently writing Sunborn II. I knew Sunborn was going to have a sequel, and I knew what the title of that book was going to be, and I knew where it was going to take place. I just didn't know what I wanted that place to be. I think just thinking on what the most interesting thing that place could be, that's were the idea for Sunborn II came from. Once I figured out what the place was going to be, the rest of the themes just sort of fell into place.
Kenneth Buff I usually have a bunch of stories in the backlog that I want to write, so I just kind of move from one to the next, and take note of other stories I think of while I'm writing what ever I'm writing. Sometimes I take a break from the novel I'm writing to write a short story that's burning my brain.
Kenneth Buff It's a sequel to a book I haven't published yet. A sci-fi mind bender, in the vein of Philip K. Dick.
Kenneth Buff I've never really suffered this. I mean, I've come up to points in a story where I'm not sure what I want to happen next, or I've started to find myself disinterested int he story I was writing. Not sure if that's what writers block is, but if it is, what I do in those situations is I take some paper and a pen and I work out what I want to happen. I just write out all the questions I have that I think need to be answered, and whatever else I think needs addressed in the story before it's finished.
