Paying attention to what surrounds us is a good way to find inspiration.The thought of creating and bringing characters to life, visualising them as people also inspires me to write.
Reading the biography of other writers is another thing I do. It's good to read about the success of others. Not everyone started out with a best seller.

I am now working on my second novel which is in the early stages. I am hoping to publish this book 'Sing after every storm, by Easter 2015.

I believe that whatever your first idea may be for writing something, is to go with it. Initially, I kept moving away from my first idea for a book but eventually I followed that story and was pleased I did. Also, I think it is important to just get on with it and not dwell on the first 20 or so pages. Write it, then go back and make any changes.

Doing something you love is the best thing no matter what you enjoy doing. I just love creating characters and putting them in their place when I write. It's such a good feeling when I have finished a piece of work and I get so much pleasure from it.

I simply walk away from what I'm doing to do something else. Inspiration is not always there. I am lucky enough to live by the sea, and a walk along the seafront often helps.
