About three years ago I was invited to play Dungeons and Dragons with Will Vincent running the campaign as GM. I loved the characters in our party as well as the story he was telling. I really wanted to bring those characters to life and share them with everyone. So I got the idea to write a book about those adventures. As I brainstormed and typed the words, the story kind of took off into the sky, writing itself into A Tale of Mist and Shadow.

Stop saying your going to do it, and just do it. Don't wait until you think you're a good enough writer, just start writing it.

You'd be amazed how a long walk through the forest, or a hard run could loosen up the mind. Thus far, I've found that nature and people are full of incredible stories and inspiration. I just need to open my eyes to seeing it, once I did, I couldn't help but be inspired to write about it.
