Aimee Shaye Hi Crystal! Sorry for my late response to your question! There will be a prequel book coming soon and a spin off series that I am planning. I am also extending this world, so you will get to see these characters again.
Aimee Shaye When I have writer's block, the first thing I do is eat because it's usually the result of not having enough energy. If that doesn't help, I find the type of music that best fits what I'm working on (whether it's an entire playlist of the genre of music that fits, or just one song) and I listen to it until something clicks.
Aimee Shaye The best thing about being a writer is being able to create a piece of art that opens the doors to adventure. The written word is something to be cherished. It's also refreshing; through any form of art you can let your emotions out and the best thing about writing is that no one has to know that it's you. No one has to know that it is real.
Aimee Shaye My advice for aspiring writers is to just do it! I am a self-published author and if I listened to those who told me "writing isn't a profession you should do for the rest of your life" I don't believe I would be so happy. You can do anything that you set your mind to. Don't let anyone tell you differently.
Aimee Shaye I am currently working on book two to Destroyed. Destroyed is book one in a series entitled The Chronicles of the Seven Sons. I am also working on an erotica trilogy so that the wait for the next book in The Chronicles of the Seven Sons will not be too long.
Aimee Shaye I am not exactly sure what inspired me to write. I began to write when I was six and I think it was just because I didn't like to sit in front of the television. When I entered middle school, however, I didn't quite fit in and so I made up for lonely lunchtime by writing about anything and everything.
Aimee Shaye The idea for my most recent book (also my debut novel) Destroyed, came from English class in ninth grade. I was sitting down in class and we had just finished an assignment and I just began to write the first things that came to mind and before I knew it, the entire prologue was written!
