Generally I often start with the idea for a character, and what elements I want the book to have, and then it sort of spins out and progresses from there into a more full idea that's workable.

Haha... varied methods! Usually it just requires me sitting down and focusing my brain on my task. :) Then the ideas start flowing, I start writing, and there ya go!

Getting to work in my undies if I want to! hehe Really, just the freedom of being able to work from wherever I want, whenever I want, and make my own schedule from day to day. It can get a little crazy trying to get stuff done with kids, and it's easy to slip off the bandwagon so to speak and get sidetrack with getting NOTHING productive done, but I still wouldn't trade it for a regular day job for anything. :)

I'm not sure I believe in writer's block. :) Procrastination perhaps! When I find myself procrastinating, I'll take a break and try to clear my head. Walks are great, especially when the weather is cool. Then hopefully I'll come back refreshed and ready to write.
