I am currently working on a revised edition of my second book, This Day in California History. It orignally appeared in 2008, but over the years since I have discovered that there is still quite a bit of work to be done to make it the book I think it can be.

The key inspirations were 2 books I had read: Curt Gentry's The Last Days of the Late, Great State of California, and Carey McWilliams's Southern California: An Island on the Land. What made California unique and extraordinary just seemed like a subject that needed a book all its own.
