R.N. Feldman Besides teaching and painting, I am vigorously editing Part II of Mover of Fate and am excitedly outlining the next book in The Creator's Eye series.
R.N. Feldman The quiet. The time to contemplate and be in my own head. I also love the challenge of making a story cohesive, the percussive flow of words, and expansion of a new universe.
R.N. Feldman I actually began this process when I was only six years old. I was inspired by video games like Legend of Zelda, Faxanadu, and Final Fantasy. My friends and I started creating games for each other on paper. We drew monsters and designed levels and then had each other play them. Before I fell asleep at night, I thought about my game and imagined myself in it with a host of characters. Of course, it was about as deep and complex as you might imagine a six year old’s imagination to be, but eventually the characters took on a life of their own, and I dreamt about their ever-expanding adventures every night for the next twenty-seven years until they became the story it is today.
R.N. Feldman I get out into nature. A big chunk of my novel was written in Griffith Park. Whenever I felt stuck, I'd head out there, alone, and by the time I got to my favorite lookout point and back down again, I would have the answers that I needed.
