What are your favourite books?
Jo Nesbø I'll answer about my favorite Norwegian writers. Knut Hamsun above all. But I also like the contemporary writers Per Petterson ("Out Stealing Horses"), Johan Harstad ("Max, Mischa and the Tet Offensive") and Lars Saabye Christensen ("The Half Brother").

Who would you invite to a literary dinner party?
Jo Nesbø Charles Bukowski, Jim Thompson, Ernest Hemingway. Partly because these are writers whose work I admire, partly because I can't cook and for this party, I probably wouldn't have to.

who are your favorite crime authors ???
Jo Nesbø I don't really read that much crime fiction. I never did. Except for Jim Thompson. I've read most of what he's written. My favorite Norwegian crime writer would probably be Karin Fossum. I like Dennis Lehane, Lawrence Block, Michael Connelly and James Lee Burke. And there are more. So, O.K. I realize I do read a little crime fiction.

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Jo Nesbø Where are they, all the left gloves I lost in life? And why always the left? I wouldn’t have minded wearing two different gloves, I wouldn’t, but not two for the right hand.
