Rebeca Ruiz Hi! I took it down for some brief editing but it is now back available on Amazon!
Rebeca Ruiz I've been writing this story for about six years I believe. I'm not entirely sure how I came up with it.

I had an idea in my head, but it really just stayed in the back of my mind all these years until recently. I had written chapters, changed the characters names, and changed the circumstances.

The only thing that stayed consistent was that Laney's character lost her parents somehow, and that her sister was a model and getting married in the beginning.

I wish I could remember what I was doing when I thought of this story, but I can't! It was so long ago.

Have a great day! (:
Rebeca Ruiz Having my stuff be read, it's crazy to me that people would want to buy my stuff. That's the best part about writing and being a writer.
Rebeca Ruiz I'm currently working on the second book of In Your Arms, it's going to be about her brother, of course Ashton and Braxton will be in. You will find out the answer to the end of the first book in the beginning of the second book. If that makes sense? haha
Rebeca Ruiz Music inspires me because they're stories in song form! I look to music for a lot of inspiration, I look at the lyrics and try to see what the artist meant. I like music with meaning, one song that inspired me to write In Your Arms was Vagabond by Misterwives. The song is about not really having a home, just kind of being there, wandering around.
Rebeca Ruiz Music really inspires me and I have an obsession with downloading songs even though I only like one line from it, anyway, I look to music for inspiration a lot of the time. If that doesn't work, I sleep and look at it the next day with fresh eyes.
Rebeca Ruiz I feel like a lot of authors give this advice, but reading a lot and writing as much as you can every day really does help you.
I try to write a sentence every day, and especially when I'm super blocked. Just writing one sentence, even if it takes me hours to write it, really does help.
Rebeca Ruiz I can't really say where I got the idea from, I just remember driving to my friends house to pick her up to head to college, and all of a sudden it came pouring into my head. As I was driving to campus I started making mental notes, and I wrote it all down in my iPhone notes app. It was the first time I had ever written down the plot before actually starting it, very interesting process.
