L.B. Blake Read. Read everything. And study the books you love, what does the author do that you, that you don't like, what makes the book so good. That will teach you to be a better writer.
L.B. Blake Getting to do what I love every single day. I am so fortunate that I don't have to spend 40 hours a week doing I hate or dislike or feel indifferent about. That's not to say that I like every aspect of being a writer (ahem, marketing) but I wouldn't want to do anything else with my life.
L.B. Blake For me, writer's block has never been about not being able to write or not having any book ideas. It's about not being able to tell the story right so basically I just keep writing and deleting and rewriting until the block breaks and the story comes out the way it was meant to.
L.B. Blake I wrote Bleeding Souls when I was 20 years old and going through my first bout of severe depression. I had just started cutting.
