Priyanka Naik If you really want to see your work published, you need to be very determined and thick skinned. Rejection letters are part of the game, and should not cause you to steer from your dream. Keep writing. Keep improving. Never ignore that inner voice. It will tell you what to do.

Having said that, never take the reader for granted. Write what you believe in. Write what you would like to read, had the manuscript not been yours. Listen to your heart. It is only when you write from the heart that you will be able to connect with the reader.

Trust me, the advice never stops...the 'learning' in writing never ends! :)
Priyanka Naik You get to decide where to take the story... :)
Priyanka Naik Honestly, I have never chased my muse. I prefer to let it do the chasing. Hence, when I do experience this so called 'writer's block', it is usually because there are way too many thoughts creating havoc in my mind. Over the years, I have learned to take it as a sign...an internal signal that expresses the need to de-clutter...to de-stress. So times like these, I slow down and try to relax. This can include anything from planning a short trip to a place I love, or hanging out with my best friends, reading a good book, or something as simple as taking a nap, at the end of which life always seems a little less trying.
Long story short, the block often clears with me trying to forget I'm a writer, and inspiration, like an insecure muse, rushing back to remind me of it. *smiles*
