When I wrote A Song of Love, I saw the truth of what it's like to be stuck in the impossibilities that are thrown at us every single day and as a result how I had put myself into a box. So much trauma happened for years, but the truth was it didn't define me. God had already defined me. So even with all the trials, even when they kept happening, the truth was God never left. I needed to grow deep in a trusting relationship with Christ so that I could become who I was always meant to be, even with so many things coming against me. I saw that this is something many people need, just like I did.
Our futures are wide open, ready to be changed at the next moment depending on a simple step. That step requires trust. With God, anything is possible. I knew that many are in this mindset. I looked at the world statistics that indicate most people are not living a fulfilling life. Why is that? First, they aren't aware of who they really are. A big part of destiny has to do with understanding how much God is for you, and how much you simply need revelation about who you really are - your strengths and gifts that God gave you. Once you have that and capture deep in your heart to really trust God, to spend time with Him in a deepening relationship, the possibility of your future destiny in life is a great adventure waiting to be discovered.

Life experiences are the tools that inspire me to write as a storyteller. Because my heart is on fire for God, this has become great to be inspired by the Lord to write. I keep my mind open to hear the still small voice of God for the next step to take, and in trust and obedience, I take that step. The best stories come from what happens as God takes me on another adventure. Truly, my most favorite saying has become, I really cannot make this up! The great adventure just continues the more I listen, trust, and obey.

First, I sit quietly and wait to hear from the Lord if there is anything I'm to share. I'm joined in my journey to partner with God as I write, following Jesus, so this is a big part of the process. Often I spend time worshipping Him and then wait to hear what I need to write. A walk or ride on my bike with worship music is a great way to clear my mind and connect with God's heart to write more. I will also ask Him what to read, especially in scripture, to learn and share within the stories I'm writing. Then I ask the Holy Spirit to come and lead my writing. Who better to ask? After all, my writing focus is to share faith, inspire others and ultimately to bring God glory. It's all about Him.

Since my focus is to bring faith and inspire others, the best part is when my writing has changed another's life for good. This brings me to tears of joy every single time.

Best quote about this is: Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't, you're right. ~ Henry Ford
If you've had a great unction to write, then I encourage you to go for it. Your voice needs to be heard.
Writing is entirely about your mindset. Discover the truth of encouraging yourself, and surround yourself with supporters to keep going. The most difficult part is the final "birthing" of your book. Whatever you do, expect labor pains and push!

Next book is at the publisher, the amazing story of laying down my life for Jesus, incredible miracles and blessings, then enduring Covid-19 with the rest of the world.
