I just recently submitted my final edits for my second novel that is scheduled for release in spring/summer 2015. It's called A Secret to Keep. I'm also working on something I've never done before...a novella. I'm a wordy kinda gal, so it's hard to wrangle me into just 30,000 words. Wish me luck!

I get inspiration in a lot of ways. I think the one way that inspires me the most is listening to music. If I find a song that resonates with me, I'll listen to it over and over again for days and something about that one song will spark a story and I end up writing. It may only be a page or so, but its enough to get me started.

I don't know if anyone will believe me or not, but it just happened. I actually was stressing over another book that I had written and was editing and I couldn't get anything to work. So, an idea popped into my head and I just started typing. Before I knew it, I had a whole other story and new characters and I ended up with a whole other book. It was amazing to experience.

Keep writing. Keep submitting and never give up.

If I'm having a really hard time getting through a scene or just drawing a total blank, many times I'll listen to music. A good rule of thumb for me is to get up and walk away, clear my mind and don't think about it.
