Thanks for asking! I'm (hopefully) wrapping up the first draft of the third Milky Way Repo book this weekend. Nathan and his crew will be back soon, drawn into another situation where they quickly wind up over their heads as they try to repo a starship and avoid Atomic Jack. A new novel inspired by the Circleville Letters. They were featured on an episode of Unsolved Mysteries and I've always found the idea of receiving those anonymous letters to be very creepy.

I'm totally going to crib the answer to this question from Stephen King; read and write everyday. It's tough with life, work, kids, parents and other responsibilities but at the very least, read everyday. Write whenever possible.

I try to be as prepared as possible when sitting down to write. My first novel taught me the lesson of how difficult it can be to sit down without notes and only the vaguest of ideas about how the story should be told. That led to re-writes, rewrites and more re-writes to produce a work I was happy with. Now things are well planned before writing. I use copious notes, do as much research as possible so ideas are well formed and have a better idea of what I want to accomplish that day.
