Angel Wedge Well, my latest book right now was After Hope, which was a kind of sequel to an as-yet unpublished novel. In the course of writing Hope City Stories, I had dozens of ideas for superheroes who might live in that world. It would be a shame for the ones who didn't make it into the main story to be cast aside, so I thought it made a lot of sense to but together a couple of anthologies about the other heroes and villains who inhabit that world a little later in the history.
Angel Wedge I find that if I'm stuck on one idea, writing something different can often help. If I have no ideas on a day, quite often looking at a picture can help. One trick I've tried is going to a 'word of the day' website, and putting the resulting word into an image search. The pictures that you find if you search for something like "esoteric" or "ingenue" can be quite interesting.

Also, I've found a lot of luck with projects like Nightmare Fuel ( https://plus.google.com/collection/QN... ) - where Bliss posts a picture every day for a month, and all the people following the collection try to write a story about it. Nightmare Fuel runs every year in October, so if you're looking for inspiration next month you should give it a try.
Angel Wedge I've been writing a short story every day for nearly a year now. Once I've finished the year I'm going to go back and edit them, see how many of them are suitable for putting in an anthology.

I'm also working on the second draft of a superhero novel, "Hope City Stories". It isn't finished yet, but I think I'm nearly there now.
