Cassandra Larsen I’ve always wanted to write, but I never believed that I’d be able to write anything other people would want to read. Then a few years ago, I just decided to write anyway. Even if nobody else read it, it was a book I wanted to read, so I just went for it. When I published my first novel, Silent Circle, I didn’t really expect anyone besides friends and family to take an interest, so when readers began responding and telling me how much they liked it, I was amazed. I still am. Every time a reader contacts me through one of my sites or leaves a glowing review, I’m always amazed, and incredibly touched. To know that I wrote something people all over are reading and enjoying… it’s truly an indescribable feeling.
Cassandra Larsen Whenever I get stuck on a particular book, it’s usually a sign that I need to take a step back and work on something else for a bit to recharge my creative batteries. At any given moment, I’m working on several projects simultaneously. I have two series out right now, each with more books currently in production, plus a couple of completely new series in various stages of planning, not to mention the dozen other plot ideas I have for new books that I just haven’t gotten around to fleshing out yet. There is always something for me to write, or edit, or revise, or outline. So if I get writer’s block on one of my novels, I always have another project to focus on for a bit until my mind untangles whatever plot snare tripped me up in the first place.
Cassandra Larsen I’m currently in the process of editing the third book in The Witches Circle series, Shattered Circle, and hope to have that out later this year. However, my novella, Gray’s Dilemma, will be available April 14th. This story is set in the same world as Silent Circle, but is told from Gray’s perspective. As a werewolf in the Silver Ridge Pack, Gray’s life hasn’t been easy. He’s the Alpha’s son, so there is a lot of responsibility placed on his shoulders. When one of his friends lands on the wrong side of Pack Law, Gray has to choose between loyalty to his friend and loyalty to his pack. My goal with this story is to give my readers a deeper understanding of Gray, provide some insight into pack dynamics, as well as introduce some new characters that will appear in Shattered Circle.
