The Grimly Ever After Series was an idea I got when I read a Terry Pratchett novel about the Grim Reaper. Then I wanted to make a reaper who was different from the cliche, and I wanted to make it into a paranormal romance.

Explore all your options (self-publishing, small press, traditional publishing). You will probably try for traditional first, but if that doesn't work after several tries, submit to small press while still trying to get a literary agent. As a last resort, you can do self-publishing. And as always, never give up. I've gotten HUNDREDS of query rejections.
