I read through some of my travel diaries 10 years after returning home. There were are few funny memories and some that reminded me that I was missing out a lot on living. I started to update them as a journal but discovered there was much more freedom as a novel.

A crime novel. The central character is a fisherman. Fishing is at it's heart a solo pursuit which lends itself to the theme of the novel.
