THE LAST UMBRA, A Historical, Adventure, Action-thriller. It is focused on my admiration for the Japanese warrior class. This book tells of not a pride filled Samurai, but instead, a ninja assassin on a quest in gold-rush era California. Excerpt:
A wicked crash caught his ears; he knew it was the sound of the ship colliding with the jagged rock islet. He envisioned thousands of wood shards, shooting in every direction, with drowning bodies and endless debris. A dark mass floated near him as he rested in the valley of waves. He grabbed hold of the wooden chunk, as the sharp splinters tore at his flesh. He held, and held, and held…this was easy now.
With his head above water, he resumed his meditation. He recalled the sweet scent of his Asiatic home, and how he would sit and listen to the wind for hours on a sunny day. He thought of all the lives he had taken, and how he could stalk a man for days, lying motionless atop a roof.
Time was all anyone had, so to count it was frivolous.
BLOOD SHOWER,California Vampire Syndicate: A contemporary vampire-thriller,crime, fantasy. This story is edgy and puts a new spin on the Vampire Genre. I hope to engage the reader with outlandish vampire and mafia style characters. Excerpt:
The tall man wore a metal mask, as he possessed little resemblance of a face. The horrific accident left him devoid of a nose, upper lip, and left cheek. His façade was a work of art however, displaying smooth chiseled features with diamonds inlaid. His Lamborghini Diablo wove expertly in and out of traffic, as the fearsome V-12 engine roared. His baby, a nickel-plated pear handled AK-47, was safely buckled up in the passenger seat. No music ever played, he was happily lulled by the notes of the engine.

Having read the major European classics, I became passionate about this style of literature; so I decided to create my own story in the romantic flavor.
As a Californian of Mexican heritage, I was enthralled with characters like Zorro, my imagination bursting with romantic adventures. I was left with a hunger pang, craving more from pre gold rush California.
Later, I discovered Duma’s Count of Monte Cristo. It provided me with the profound, emotion-evoking touchstone, of what a person can achieve with words.
From there, I knew my calling.
I have troves of tales to get out of me and onto paper. I hope to give readers intriguing characters, and well thought out plots.
