For me it's one of my own. Daisy May Coppertop and Benjamin Blood discover first love in terrifying circumstances. How that unfolds over the course of the series is for me one of my most enjoyable pieces of character development. All books have love at their heart, be that romantic, familial or even the absence of love. As Daisy and Benjamin's story unfolds it becomes the balance in what is otherwise a terrifying journey..

Hi Graham,
I find it very useful in particular to attract reviews. Some people downloaded my first book free in Amazon so were not allowed to post reviews there- however they can do it here. Only new myself to it so not much else I can say. It's always good to connect in my opinion generally. Slowly slowly catchy Monkey :@)

Larry Flynn came from an interview I heard on Irish radio. It was only a few minutes that I heard in the car but the entire story evolved from there. Basically the man being interviewed served in the Irish army in 1943 and he was explaining how he was sent off with his comrades to a field in the middle of nowhere in County Tipperary in Ireland to build an airstrip. It was never used to his knowledge and there was an urgency and an air of mystery surrounding the project. From this I imagined an aircraft landing and who might be on it. It took some research, but even so I didn't want my story to be a historical piece so I developed Larry Flynn as the main character and set the story in near present day Dublin. He was essentially the victim or at least in his mind of what occurred in 1943 and it ruined his life. I gave him an opportunity on deaths door to get revenge for what happened and at the heart of the book is how he sets a chain of events in motion by his actions that result in mayhem and devastation to those around him.

As usual I am working on two things at once. Not always a great idea but it works for me. I am editing a book I wrote but never published over 12 years ago called bad Blood. It is one of my favourite stories and I hope to have it out before Christmas. In addition to this I have just started on the sequel to Darkly Wood. It wasn't my intention to do a sequel when I wrote or even published it, but there has been such a demand from readers that I thought I would give it a go. It is early days but you know, I am surprised the direction it has gone already. I think Darkly Wood fans will be surprised too and hopefully enjoy it as much as the first book. It has a working title of 'Darkly Wood the Mark of the Ring' .. Maybe that gives a hint.. maybe not.. You will have to wait and see.

Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones who does not suffer this problem. I write constantly if not on the page then in my head and there is always a queue of stuff waiting to get out.
