Tory Cameron I like to break up description with character thoughts or dialogue. Sprinkling bits of description in the story also helps with suspense, which keeps the reader guessing.

What helps me is to do a couple of things:
1. Bullet point what you want to include.
2. Know your ending. This helps you place foreshadowing throughout.
3. Think about scenes like a movie.
4. Write out your dialogue and then fill in with descriptions, dialogue tags, etc.

This doesn't work for everyone, but it helps me with my process.
Tory Cameron Being able to live out fantasies through words. I can make people happy, make them cry, and I can kill them. These characters are so real to me because their story is playing in my mind like a movie, so it's awesome to be able to read it on paper, and for others to see the movie in my head.

Tory Cameron I am very aware of my surroundings, so many things inspire me, but I am most inspired by music. I have a playlist for each book, and the songs often inspire characters, scenes, or even the ending to the novel.
Tory Cameron I am currently working on Graceful Fall, the sequel to Graceful Hell. Cacophony: A Collection of Noise, which is a collection of poems, prose, and essays, is about 90% completed. I am also working on Starlight Hunger, which is set to release at the end of this year.
