Nothing right now unfortunately. I started a new job last year and there's a lot to learn so I've been concentrating on that. I'm feeling like I'm getting my feet under me now and I'm hoping to get back to writing soon.

I don't think that I have come across this properly yet. What I have experienced are points where I am not sure where the story is going next. In those cases I play it out in my mind and let the characters do what they would do if they were real people. I try to work in what are the most logical steps and responses given the world they are in.

It is very much early days so I don't know if this will be a success or not but right now, it is the feeling of working for myself. I did a total of 55 hours this week and I really don't mind, as I will reap any benefits.

Write as much as you can. This is my first book so I'm still learning a lot but I can see a big difference in what I wrote initially to what I am doing now, eight months later.

As of the 24th of August, book two of Dark Vengeance. I am 50,000 words in on the first draft. The title is currently Return for Vengeance, though this is subject to change. If it all goes to plan, it should be out at the end October, early November this year.

I read, fiction, newspapers and current affairs websites and watch TV & films. Often it can be the smallest of things that give you a scenario to send your characters into.

I was reading a re-read of the Wheel of Time by Leigh Butler and she mentioned that there are very few strong, female, sci-fi, main characters. This started me thinking and the character that eventually became Valerie Carter was born.
