How do you know so much about the inner workings of the CIA?
Luana Ehrlich Well, as the saying goes, if I told you, I'd have to . . . Seriously, I've been an avid fan of espionage fiction all my life, plus I've done a lot of research about the inner workings of spy agencies. And lastly, I've had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people in my life, who may or may not have been in involved in covert activity. :) Oh yeah, and I also have a vivid imagination. Thanks for asking, and I'm glad you find my novels so realistic!

In Four Months in Cuba, Titus travels to Santiago de Cuba to begin his search for Ben Mitchell. Of course, there are several surprises along the way as he attempts to free Ben from his captors, plus the appearance of some familiar characters and a few quirky new ones. Four Months in Cuba, the fourth book in the Titus Ray Thriller Series will be published in October. I'm also working on a prequel to One Night in Tehran, entitled One Step Back. It should be available in December.

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?
Luana Ehrlich The couple that immediately comes to mind is featured in Nelson DeMille's books, specifically his John Corey series. Corey is married to FBI agent Kate Mayfield, and their relationship is always a sub plot in the book. I won't list all of the series, but here are a few: Plum Island (1997), The Lion’s Game (2000), Night Fall (2004), Wild Fire (2006), The Lion (2010), and The Panther (2012).

I enjoy the interplay between this husband and wife team, and how much they seem to enjoy each other.

Luana Ehrlich Hi, Cherei! Like Titus, I must keep my "real job" hidden from my family. They believe I'm the wife of a retired pastor and spend my days making jelly, knitting, and cooking up delicious meals for family and friends. Little do they know I'm off on endless trips to far flung regions fighting the enemies of freedom. Thanks for joining me on these journeys through my Titus Ray Thrillers! What sort of things are covered in the narrative of your books? Is there any possibility of twists in the tale or is it different to that sort of story that you're telling.
Luana Ehrlich Thanks for the question, James. The narrative of my Titus Ray Thrillers is all about espionage. These are spy novels, so there's lots of talk about the CIA and various agencies of our government, plus the hero is trying to prevent bad things from happening in America. There are all kinds of twists in the stories and readers of these thrillers are kept guessing at what might happen next. After you've read one, and I recommend ONE NIGHT IN TEHRAN, since it's the first book in the series, please email me and let me know how you liked it. Enjoy the read! Luana Ehrlich

Luana Ehrlich My next book in the Titus Ray Thriller Series is Three Weeks in Washington. It should be available in 2016. Hold on! I'm writing as fast as I can. Titus is a hard guy to keep up with! Thanks for asking, and I'm so happy you found it an enjoyable read!

How do you get inspired to write?
Luana Ehrlich It doesn't take much for me to be inspired to write. I love to write! Finding the time to write is another matter.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Luana Ehrlich This series began with an underlying question, and it runs throughout "One Night in Tehran." I asked myself, “What would happen if a veteran covert intelligence officer had to spend time with the persecuted Christians in Iran? What if he became a believer because of their Christian testimony?” “How would his conversion affect his lifestyle and future clandestine operations?”

What are you currently working on?
Luana Ehrlich I'm in the middle of writing my second novel in the Titus Ray Thriller series. It's entitled "Two Days in Caracas." As is true in "One Night in Tehran," some of the action takes place in the States.
