Usually I don't, and writing doesn't get done. But when I absolutely HAVE to deal with writer's block, I get together with a long time friend of mine and bounce ideas off of him. EVERY single time I do this, the writer's block is conquered and I can write. I firmly believe that without my friend I would not be writing as much as I am now.

Breathing life into characters that exist only in my mind. I believe they must be seen by the world, and I am the only one who can give them life.

Write! Write! Write! Take time out of your day and do it. Even if it is just on a small notepad, and even if it is a few sentences about a character idea. WRITE!

I'm currently working on writing a series of short stories that I hope will evolve into something more (while I wait for someone to pick up my full length novel)

I usually put on some new age instrumental music (no lyrics) and just chill for a few songs while I think. I imagine the page as a set and I'm the director. I imagine the characters in the scene, what they're wearing, doing, etc. Then I begin to write.

The idea for my most recent book stems from the world that a friend and I created in high school. It is, of course, inspired by the many authors I've read and movies I've watched, television shows, and yes, even music I listen to, as all play a part in my creative process.
