The ability to be creative (hopefully to make a living at it eventually)! I also love interacting with fans and reading reviews to see what people think of my work. I just wish I had more time in the day to do all that, and write too!

Writing for me has never been a problem. Finding the time to write is the difficulty for me. But I find if I can get half an hour, it just begins to flow. If you are a visual person, look up some pictures or videos of the person that inspires your character (I always have a particular person - be it actor or model when I begin writing). If you like music, put something inspirational on, or something that tracks with the story you want to write.

Never give up! There are people out there that want to read new stuff by different authors. I am absolutely shocked and delighted every time I get a new review! Keep writing, even if it takes a year...or longer. Don't be scared to hit that 'publish' button or submit it to a publishing company if that's what you want. And get yourself out there, before you have a book. Get people excited at what you are going to offer soon, that will make it much more exciting when you are waiting for your book to go live!

If I am not sure where to go with the story, I find that reading a previous chapter or two will help me come up with ideas of where to go next.

Shifted for Love (book 1), was partially conceived during a party on Facebook. I won a contest to host this party for an hour (as a non-author/non-blogger). I decided that since I could not narrow things down on my own, I would hold a couple of games that helped me decide. One was to name the main male character, which turned out to be Jace (it was decided randomly!). The other game was to pick a specific romance genre - and shifter/paranormal was decided randomly. That very same night, I started to write Shifted for Love. I have not looked back since!

I am in the middle of writing Finn & Carly's story, the 5th book in Pepper Valley Shifters series. It's going to be exciting!
