Rick Stepp-Bolling When I was much, much younger, my parents decided to attend a party, and for the first time they didn't hire a babysitter. Apparently my brother and I were considered old enough to look after each other. After they left, we watched Disney and fell asleep. I awoke to a news broadcast later that night. A reporter was going through a house that looked vaguely familiar. Then I remembered, it was the house of a friend of mine from second grade. The reporter went from room to room in the house explaining where each body was found. Someone had entered my friend's home and systematically murdered his entire family with a knife. The killer, if he was ever found, remained a mystery to me, and for years afterward, the pale image of my dead friend haunted my dreams.
Rick Stepp-Bolling I'd love to travel to Middle Earth and talk with the hobbits, elves, and dwarfs. It would go a long way in helping to develop my own worlds.
Rick Stepp-Bolling Most of my summer has been occupied by my writing and editing, but I'm looking for something in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy area. I'm open to suggestions.
Rick Stepp-Bolling The tick, tick, tick inside my head would not go away. Until it burrowed, burrowed, burrowed to the other side of my brain.
Rick Stepp-Bolling Jem and Scout in To Kill A Mockingbird. They manage to do the right things as brother and sister even when the times dictate otherwise
Rick Stepp-Bolling Writing in only one genre or one style can be boring. I like to explore the other personas inside of me that beg to be released.
