I'm currently working on the sequel to All Muck and Mullets, beginning in May 1986 through to April 1987. The chapters and storylines are all mapped out for the next two books but I would be happy to write further stories about the residents of Adderstey for as long as there is a audience for them. I'm also working on a novel about an entirely different genre, but I'd rather keep that under wraps for now.

Writing fulfils a deep seated need to be creative. It also exercises the mind in ways that no simple puzzle or game ever could. The more complex the storylines and characters get, the greater the mental exercise. Without writing, I fear my brain would stagnate.

I usually deal with writers block by having more than one project running concurrently. If I get stuck on one book, I can leave it for a while and work on a different project or make sure I have thoroughly researched the section that I have planned to write about later on in the process. That way you can maintain some degree of productivity.
