Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Andrew M. Ferrell This is an incredibly difficult question. I guess I would have to go back to Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. These two "star-crossed lovers" have all the great qualities of a romantic story: a certain naivety about life that doesn't get in the way of their desire, a fiery passion to overcome all obstacles, and a willingness to die instead of be separated from their love. Their ending is a tragedy, but that doesn't negate the love they feel.
