Hi, Soraya, I'm new to the children's book publishing field (although I have had a close professional association with children's books for a long time), and I just finished writing and illustrating my first Christian children's eBook, "The Prodigal Platypus." Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Soraya Diase Coffelt I volunteered as a lay children's minister for over 15 years at my church. One year, I was thinking of ideas for a play for the children to perform​ for Christmas, and God gave me the concept for the series of children's books to teach the true Christian meaning of different holidays that we celebrate. I started writing down ideas for each holiday, beginning with Christmas.

Soraya Diase Coffelt I will be soon starting my fourth book which will be on the true meaning of Easter.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Soraya Diase Coffelt You will need seed money so begin saving for your book. Don't give up. Also, write down the ideas that you have right away so you don't loose them.
