You get to create the story you want, with the characters you love, in a place you want to write about, with an outcome that satisfies you! What could be better.

Read, write......and read and write. Look for good people to support your dreams and ignore the negative. Repeat, I am a great writer, and I have a story to tell. One thing that helps me is to remember, Not Everyone is Going to Like your Book.......because everyone's reading taste is Different. Just look at a bookshelf.....it would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

A sequel to Adirondack Audacity, called Audacity on the Water. In this story my characters who I have grown to love and just can't let go, take on the Adirondack Canoe Classic. This is a 90-mile canoe race through the heart of the Adirondack mountains. The story continues in the tradition of Adirondack Audacity, the main themes are humor, beautiful mountain setting, a bit sexy and a mystery that rivals the excitement of the race. It should be a laugh out loud page turner.

Reading, reading and more reading. I have loved to read since I could pick up a book. The Eddie and Betsy books were my first chapter books, and that is dating myself. A good author inspires me to improve my work by setting a good example. My favorite moments are when I read a sentence, gasp at the beauty of the words, set the book down and let the essence of the words seep into me.

When traveling I enjoy reading books that are set in the region, preferably fiction and books that are "vacation-worthy". My family has spent years camping, hiking and exploring the Adirondack Mountains. As part of my vacation, I would go into book stores looking for a romance set in the mountains and there were few offerings. So one day these two characters starting dancing on my head, saying, "We have a story, tell it, tell it!" And they were so insistent that Vic and Ellen were born in the creation of Adirondack Audacity.
