I am currently working on more story poetry. This one will be written more out of my own struggles and recovery, both past and current. It should be a trip!

I guess I still have a hard time saying that I am a "writer!" But honestly, my favorite part is you get to make stuff up! My current book is poetry, and it's all based in fact. However, I'm more of a fiction fan. So I love creating stories from nothing, and being able to take them wherever I want, and if I change my mind I hit delete and change it! You can't do that with non-fiction.

My most recent....err well my only book so far, is based on the experiences of myself and people I know. It's a very honest look at the emotions that I have experienced, as well as the ones that I have felt second hand, so to speak. So a alot of the poems start out kind of "dark," but there is always a redeeming factor because I believe in hope.

What inspires me most is reading and listening to the radio. When I'm reading a book or listening to the radio, my mind starts swirling with ideas. Now granted, most of those thoughts never make it to paper because I always seem to lack the foresight to jot a note down. So by the time I sit down to write I don't remember why that song or particular line in a book inspired me in the first place! I'm a work in progress!
