Corinna Turner Hi Alaina, I'm glad you enjoyed the series! I have one more potential book in my head but I'm afraid I have no plans to write it any time soon since I am so busy with my other series. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear!
Corinna Turner Ah, so sorry for all the delays! It really should be out by the end of February.
Corinna Turner Hi Monica,

'Someday' is a prequel novella being published in aid of 'Aid to the Church in Need', with an introduction by Ann Widdecombe, and a foreword by Ignatius Kaigama, Archbishop of Los, Nigeria. Here's a blurb:

Ruth and Gemma have a Physics exam in the morning.
Becky and Allelluia are revising for their A Levels.
So it’s an absolute nightmare to be woken by the fire alarm in the dead of the night.

But for them, and for 272 other girls from Chisbrook Hall girls’ boarding school, the real nightmare is just beginning.

Because ‘al-Qabda’ are taking them all away.
Whether they want to go or not.

As you can probably guess from that, it's a re-telling of the kidnapping of the Chibok schoolgirls, set in the UK.

The full length novels in the series follow the non-schoolgirl characters from the novella (plus one of the ones who escapes) during an 'al-Qabda' attempt to take over the UK. So it's quite topical! Here's a blurb for 'Tomorrow's Dead':

It’s a beautiful summer morning.
A normal day.

Teresa Seale is looking after a vulnerable child.
John and James Almara are on their way to school.
Sam Worthingham is still in bed after a late night of essay-writing.
Isaar and Rishad Iqbal are making their breakfast.
Jasper Tregorian is foraging for his along the hedgerows.

Then their world changes forever in a haze of smoke and gunfire.

Surrounded by black flags, they just want to survive.

But soon they must choose whether to be live cowards –
or risk becoming dead heroes.
Corinna Turner Hi Monica, nice to hear from you. Glad you're enjoying the 'I Am Margaret' series. It's actually a four book series, and book four should be out near the end of January/early February. There will also be a companion volume with a short story coming out some time after Easter. And my new series is launching on 15th April with a novella called 'Someday', which is being published in aid of Aid to the Church in Need. So there's lots coming up!
Corinna Turner Hi Cosette. Thanks for asking! To be honest, I've not encountered any I AM MARGARET fanfiction yet so it's hard to be certain how I would feel about it, but my instinctive reaction is that it's not something I'm mad about (it feels a bit too like someone kidnapping your baby and doing things to them, if that makes sense). But if you really want to, go ahead. So long as you don't have any of the characters doing anything awful, I won't get stroppy about it.

But one thing I almost always feel when I read fanfiction is that the person writing usually has the imagination and the skill to come up with something of their own. So if you're thinking of writing I AM MARGARET fanfiction, I'd encourage you to consider taking the series as a starting point - so you'd like to write about religious oppression, and perhaps you want a female heroine - and then make it your own, i.e. consider what nationality your 'Margo-type' heroine is. Does she need to be British or could she be from somewhere else? What is her hair colour? Does it need to be brown or could it be something else? What are her strengths and weaknesses? Perhaps she's great at Maths but terrible at English? You see where I'm coming from.

I don't mind if you write within what is essentially the I AM MARGARET-verse, but I'd encourage you to use as much imagination as possible. After all, there are thousands of other people in Margo's EuroBloc busy running risks every day, and they've all got stories too. It would be fun to read some of those!
Corinna Turner Pretty much now! You can pre-order already from www.ChestertonPress.com - and the books should be being sent out literally any day now. Or you can buy from Amazon within the next week, it's just being uploaded. So personally I'd wait! I hope you enjoy them both!
Corinna Turner Hi Julie, it should be out by the end of September. Glad you're enjoying them!
