Not to worry about the end result, but to put the effort into finding your authentic voice, building your strengths, and understanding why you're uniquely driven to write. What is it you hope your writing will give to a reader? Or accomplish for yourself? What is it you have to say that no one else can say? Keep faith in that. Don't worry if your book isn't a bestseller; write for the sake of writing and know that you deserve to make your voice heard as much as anyone else.

For the book I'm working on now, I got the idea from one of those list articles from Distractify - "The 38 Most Haunting Abandoned Places on Earth." It took a while for the story to come together, I just knew I liked the idea of creating a book around a creepy and forsaken place.
