Sarah Parry Bathsheba Everdene and Gabriel Oak - Far From The Madding Crowd was a revelation to me at age 17!
Sarah Parry Hi Violet

Sorry I haven't answered before now, but I've been concentrating on getting my next book finished, and haven't been on Goodreads for a while! The answer is no, I didn't go to university, but it is something I wish I had done - I think I would have enjoyed it. Which university do you go to?
Sarah Parry Gone Too Soon is a novella featuring Aggie Greenwood, who first appeared in Charlie. It's two years on from that book, and she's now fourteen years old and starting to grow up. I really liked the idea of a young girl who was a pyschic medium, and the dynamic between her and her spirit guide, Raoul. I've been able to explore their relationship more in the follow up stories, and I've got loads more ideas, which have yet to be written for future adventures!
Sarah Parry Ever since I learned to read, I wanted to write my own stories too. It's something that was bred in me. My dad's a writer too - Blair Howard. He writes travel books, but has just finished his first novel set during the American Civil war - so watch this space!
Sarah Parry A contemporary romance called Meaning To Be. It's about a girl who has been having second thoughts about her fiance and gets taken in by a fake fortune teller, to the extent she starts acting on the reading she's been given. Lots of fun to write and a really nice happy ending!
Sarah Parry Just write - just do it.
Sarah Parry Creating characters and worlds and losing yourself in them - that's the best thing about being a writer. Especially when the unexpected happens and the characters and plot seem to start growing of their own accord and all the pieces in the jigsaw finally fit!
Sarah Parry I just work through it. I get anything down, even if it's a real brain drain, because when you go through it later, there still might be something worth working on.
