Children Of Death And Fine Vessels For The Antichrist was largely inspired by heavy metal music and cinema from the '70s through '90s. I also found inspiration from my dealings with drug dealers who messed around with black magic. I highly recommend staying the crap away from those types of folks. My final source of inspiration, came from my experience as a closeted queer person, who watched other closeted queer people navigate through life.

Unfortunately, the most effective way for me to get inspired to write is trauma. Usually I have to wait until I'm in a good place to actually write, but trauma often gives me the fodder I need to feed my ideas.

Keep a journal, because it forces you to write on a daily basis. It also help to collect observations which can come in handy when you work on other things.

Work on something else. Sometimes writers block just means that you're bored or that you aren't feeling your writing. So, the best thing to do in my opinion is to give your brain something else to do. Usually that does the trick for me
