M.L. Banner I wasn't able to commit until now... The fifth and probably the final book in the Stone Age Series is in this year's writing schedule. It has been a long time coming. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay tuned.

M.L. Banner That's a question I left open for readers to decide. There is a story that follows, but I'm not sure when that will be written.

Thanks for the question!
M.L. Banner Sorry for the confusion Vicki. CICADA was first releaased as if it was it’s own series (within the Stone Age World), because it was written without the need to read the other books. But this also didn’t make sense, because it was a continuation of the Stone Age story, of which there were other parts being added. So, it was relaunched as part of the series. This the current Stone Age Series chronologically:
#1: Stone Age
#2: Desolation
#3: Hell’s Requiem (released last year)
#4: CICADA
#5: ?

If Amazon allowed it, add in #3.5: Time Slip. This was a stand alone novelette set in the Stone Age world, which offers some additional incite into the overall story, but can be read outside of the story as well.

The final book of the Stone Age Series has not been completed. Yet. The story deserves its proper conclusion. I just don’t know when that will be. But it will happen, and not too long from now.
M.L. Banner This changes, sometimes like the wind. I am always working on the next book. But sometimes I have to step away and I'll write a few word in one of my other WIPs (works in progress). I have several of these.

Right now, I'm finishing up a short novel, which will be self-published in a month or two. Then I'll focus on completing a three-book series of books set on a cruise ship, during an apocalypse. The first of these may be available as early as this year (2017).
M.L. Banner Write what you love. Then, study your genre and write what you love, which also appeals to readers in that genre.
M.L. Banner Glad to hear you enjoyed Time Slip.

The Stick has not been released. However, I am releasing a short novel which will feature Scarface, the same hitman in Time Slip. I'll post the expected availability of this new novel in a few weeks.

Thanks for reading and for your question!
M.L. Banner Thank you so much for asking Vicki. The next book in the Stone Age/ Cicada series will be released in late Spring. It's a stand-alone prequel to CICADA titled, Songs of a Dead Country and it follows Tom Rogers' story. He's a character that was introduced in CICADA.

Remnants, the next book that follows CICADA, will be released sometime later, although I'm afraid I still don't have a release date for that.

M.L. Banner Hi Tea,
So sorry for being so slow to answer and my getting your paperback copy out to you. This was sent out to you about three weeks ago. Did you receive it?

Thank you,
Michael
M.L. Banner I read an article about solar flares and found out about a really bad one that happened in 1859 and how if were replicated, our civilization would be in deep kimchi. At that time, there weren't really any books that covered this storyline. I thought, "this would make a great book." So, I wrote my first book (STONE AGE) about this. The second book (DESOLATION) is coming out this month and continues the story as a stand alone sequel. I'm working on some short stories (also in the Stone Age World) and a third and probably final book that will conclude this series.
M.L. Banner I write ideas down as soon as I get them. If it's a new book or series idea, I write out a story synopsis and/or the scene I have mentally pictured, including any dialog. So, when I'm done, I have the basics of the story sketched out. This get's put aside into a folder of book ideas for later use.

My suggestion is when working on a book, outline the overall storyline first. Then break it down chapter by chapter to get a sense of narrative flow. Doing this also eliminates the problem of writing yourself into a storyline corner. When done, each chapter is synopsized as well.

I find by doing this, I really get into the story, and then the only problem is not having the time to write it all down. I'm not sure how writers block could exist if you do this.
