My advice for aspiring authors is NEVER give up. Surround yourself with a positive support team. Also, EDIT! Edit your work and have multiple people edit your work.

This is a toughy. I've always been a strong writer with a vivid imagination. My last 3 terms of college were boring and there wasn't even homework to keep me busy, so I started writing and it spiraled from there.

I got the idea for On the Edge and its sequel, On Solid Ground: Abby's Freedom from my own personal life experiences. Though my experience was nothing like Abby's, I felt that; with a quarter of the female popluation suffering from domestic violence, a fictional book the shows the cycle of abuse along with the struggle to overcome abuse was needed. Through Abby's eyes, the reader feels what she feels throughout the books.
