I have most recently been working on a short story set in the world of Kallodhan. It takes places thousands of years before the main storyline, but the character of Lothar is mentioned in the first two books of the series. He is very much inspired by Spartacus and though his full background isn't written (yet), what he accomplishes in the past has a drastic effect on the characters in the main series.

I currently have a few things on the go. The second book in the Kallodhan series is currently being beta read. The third book is also nearly complete. Though the project I've been working on mostly is a Western Horror. I know this isn't a popular genre, but it's something I've wanted to write for a long time. I think it may be making a small comeback though, with movies like Dark Tower, Magnificent Seven and The Sister Brothers coming in the next few years as well as Westworld on HBO

As an aspiring writer myself, I don't really have any good advice. Put your head down and keep writing I guess. Maybe one day I'll be successful and be able to enter a proper answer for this question.
