Thank you Tony; I like to think of my genre so far as paranormal suspense in various lengths--short story, novelette, and full novel as in "Subversion"; I think paranormal elements in a thriller or mystery gives the story an added dimension of strangeness and uncertainty on the part of the reader; people sense--rightly or wrongly--that these are strange times, and they search for answers, maybe even if not rational. Also, people sense some rot in our societies, and the metaphor of a vampire or strange, dark force is apt. Also, the main character can have even more enthralling tags than a "normal" person; paranormal for me means anything beyond the usual five human senses, although there is disagreement here? What does "paranormal" mean to you?
