As a sheriff's deputy, I was asked by a bondsman to help find her daughter's missing body, this was my first case as a private investigator and also led to my bounty hunting career.

Reread what I have written before, meditate, hike, visualize and let my imagination run wild. If these fail I take a day or two off and comeback refreshed. So far these has worked. Also if I get an idea, or visualize a scene, I write it down, even if I'm working on something else or it's the middle of the night. Then I have prewrote, so to speak, for those days I come up empty.

Do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life. I not sure off hand who said this, but it's true. The best part for me is the freedom, I write when I want to. All other careers I had, I always had to work on someone else's timeline. As a writer my time is my own time.

I always hear people say that writers should write everyday. I disagree, I say be productive everyday. Writers don't just write, they edit, research, and various other tasks. Never force yourself to write, it will show in your product. Be productive, even if that means taking a much needed break. If you force your writing, readers will have to force the reading and very few of them will do this.

my inspiration comes from everywhere. My characters are usually some variable of people I have met. I might watch a scene on TV or movies and think how I might have did it differently. I try to be observant and look for inspiration. When you become a writer you seem to view the world a little differently than before. You are always looking for your next story,

I was a bounty hunter for over twenty years, I noticed most westerns I read, portrayed bounty hunters as cold blooded killers. I decided to write a novel that showed a different side to bounty hunting. I from Oklahoma, so I set it there and Oklahoma Storm was born.
