Hi Amber--Thanks so much for reading and for reaching out! I'm so happy you enjoyed COSMOLOGY. Notes like this always make my day.
To answer your question about future projects, I just finished the first draft of a new book, and I'm working on revising it now (I took a break to come answer your question, in fact). It's not a sequel to COSMOLOGY, but it's got that same flavor. Hopefully I'll be able to share more soon.
Thanks again!!!

(view spoiler)[Will A Cosmology of Monsters be a standalone novel? Did you work out the story for grandma, or what you revealed is all that you have? (hide spoiler)]

I have more story worked out (both the backstory and the future of the characters in this novel), so I think it would be possible to write a sequel, if the demand is there for it!

And I echo all of Devin's questions. It just can't end that way.

I liked the open ended nature of the book. The reader is left wondering what's going to happen to Noah and his family in the future. I feel like answering too many of those questions would detract from the end of the book. A book told from the perspective of how Liannon became a monster could be interesting though.

(view spoiler)[Hey Shaun, Cosmology of monsters was fantastic. Have you played the Silent Hill games? Especially at the end when the main characters are searching the house to rescue the family members, I can really imagine it being played out as a survival horror game. The manner in which the events happen and the general feeling remind me so much of the series, and I loved it. (hide spoiler)]

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I never got to play the Silent Hill games. I just ordered a remastered collection of 2 & 3 for XBox 360 based on the recommendation!

I forgot to take Dramamine before I got on an airplane. I threw up so hard (and so much) that they had to refund the tickets of the two women sitting in front of me.

I would have loved to go to Brakebills from The Magicians when I was younger. Now that I'm edging toward 40, and am too old for magic college, I'd probably rather go to Middle-Earth--to the Shire, particularly. Sit under a tree, read a book. Go drink with the other chubby, cheerful folk in the evenings. It's always sounded nice.

Thank you so much, and best of luck on your own launch! I wish I had a really awesome deep cut answer for your question, but mine is pretty basic: Stephen King's "IT" was my first adult horror book, and although I've probably read it about five times, I still don't feel like I've gotten all there is to get from it. Still my all-time favorite!
