My most recent book idea, which is still in the draft stage and not ready for sharing, came from a conversation over coffee and brunch with another author. We laughed about the possibilities and she told me to run with it. So I did. Having fun, but I'm not ready to share the idea yet.

There are several ways I am inspired to write:
I see something that inspires me in nature.
I talk with an author friend and we end up with an idea and I run with it.
I get these weird thoughts that haunt me until I write them.
I see a need in a niche market that I can be passionate about and fill.
Most important, I have to really love the idea or the topic or it doesn't work for me.
