Boy that is a tough one...I would have to say Augustine and Harlow from House of the Rising Sun by Kristen Painter. Augustine is your typical womanizer, but he does have a good heart underneath, he just hasn't had the easiest of lives. But the moment he sees Harlow, he knows that his days of running are over. Now Harlow doesn't really care for him much in the beginning, but then she sees what lies behind his tough exterior. Time and time again these two demonstrate, putting aside surface differences to see the true nature of a person. They help each other through their own unique skill sets and by the end of it all I was cheering for them.

I got the idea for The Lost Guardian from a bracelet my husband got me for Christmas. Erin, my main character, just popped into my head along with the first sentence of the book. Her whole story has been floating around in my head, in no particular order, for four years now.

Sometimes I get an idea from something that someone says. Sometimes it's something I see. But more often than not it comes from my mind just wondering while I'm doing something else. I jot the idea down before I forget about it.

I pour myself a glass of wine, turn on pandora and write a little bit of fan fiction. Ha-ha No, I'm being completely honest. Sometimes when I get bogged down, I'll write fan fiction. I love writing it because I don't really have to worry so much about creating a world, or developing characters. All that has been done for me already. The only thing I have to do is just run with the idea.
