Book 3 of The Four Lords' Saga grew out of Book 2. When I started the series, I wanted to take four young men, who had made some poor choices in their lives, and have them make better choices. Adding a love interest for each one just increased their options. And I included some twists in each of the books as well. I hope the readers enjoy the series as much as I have in writing it.

Get the best editor you can find. Too many indie authors are relying on Word spellcheck, etc.; themselves; their best friend who means well or someone who thinks they know how to edit. I wouldn't give for my Regency editor, Kay Springsteen #1 Amazon Bestselling Author. Especially for the genre I am writing in, I need someone who not only is a great editor (my brain fills in missing words, etc.) but knows Regency terminology to keep my writing to the era.
For me, Kay is fantastic. When I need to change something or expand a certain area, her instructions are clear and to the point and have made a major difference in my writing. I have grown immensely as a writer due to her help. A good editor is worth their weight in gold and can make the difference in whether a book is simply okay or really good.
I've learned more from my editor than any amount of reading could have taught me.

It allows me to exercise the right side of my brain. I tend to be rather logical in much of my life being right handed, however, both sides of the brain need to be exercised. Just as both sides of the body are exercised for balance and health, both sides of the brain need to be exercised as well: the creative right side and the logical left side. Writing allows me to do this very well.
I also like to entertain people by sharing things that I love. Writing Regency romance is kind of the icing on the cake as there are few things better than spending a lazy afternoon reading about the dukes and the earls and their lovely ladies. The Regency era is a fascinating one with the ton and the various rules of propriety—there for a reason, but also a pain in the backside as well.

Time. I am not your usual writer. Much of my plots are done in my head before making it to paper. Also, my inspiration comes in fits and spurts, so I may have several scenes I've worked out that need to have the dots connected. I find that I do have to immediately write what comes to mind or it's lost forever. That means that sometimes I get up in the middle of the night to get a scene on paper.

I want my books to be believable, so I draw a lot from real life and some from personal experience.

Currently, I'm working on 'Lord Brookton Book 4' of The Four Lords' Saga. If all goes well, it should be available within the next month or sooner.
