Ruth King Porter This is what I have written in the front of my notebook. When the notebook is full, I move it to the next notebook to remind myself what to do when I’m blocked.
When you are stuck, if you humbly pay attention to all the details of what you will be working on when you stop being stuck, you find you are moving again. Make a laundry list of everything you are going to put in. You can sit and visualize the scene and the characters as if you were watching a movie. The more clearly you can picture it, the more clearly you can write it.
Ruth King Porter I don't think I could write a mystery novel, but there are mysteries and surprises everywhere, so of course they show up in my novels. Alzheimers is definitely what I will write about in my next book.
