Andy McPhee You've probably heard this a million times, but really, the best thing you can do for your writing life is to read. Read whatever suits you, whatever you like best, whether fact or fiction, but read. You will gravitate to the kind of writing you like best and the styles and voices you feel most comfortable with, and that's where you'll find fulfillment as a writer.
