I am currently renovating a hotel I inherited in a small town that I'm finding to hold a lot of interesting history including lots of haunted locations, mystery, but also a lot of lovable people. So...I have a few new series coming out in 2022 that are based on this location including The Saints of San Angelo University Series which is a dark college romance mystery, Rebel River Series which is a Mystery Thriller, and also a paranormal YA Series, set in this location :D

Aww Thank you so much for knowing I have sponsored and even put together book signing events I have invited other authors to be part of to raise awareness for issues that concern teens, women, and children (all very special for me). I have helped other authors get started, helped other authors connect with other authors and even suggested authors to traditional publishers to publish. As an author who have been writing and publishing for almost 15 years, you see how things change and how things stay the same. I've seen authors come and go. Some do very well and leave, while others stay steady and still make a good living or at least a living with writing. The important thing is to stay true to yourself as an author (including don't follow fads but write what matters to you), and also make good friends with other authors and readers.
Author A Parody is my homage to the book industry where things happen so quickly and things change. I've encountered true blue friends in the industry (which is why I've been in it for 15 years and is still strong!), and is large a very POSITIVE and STRONG MESSAGE for people to see that someone like my character in Author A Parody could make it despite being what she is in the series.
I am not doing any signings for the rest of 2016, but I will be making appearances in person on a Meet-the Fans tour in Asia and around the US in 2017. Hope to be able to see you at one of them :D

Yes, there will be book 4 for sure! I will finish all my series and the last books in those series will be out either as part of a box set or as a special release, with author notes. Special releases will be announced through my newsletter when they are released. Thank you for being so patient :D

The Bitter Frost Film is already on IMDB.com and Backstage for Casting, and will also be cast through agents. The Loving Summer Films is being cast through agencies. Both are in pre-production. The release date is between 2018 and 2019, but that can change. We are excited as these films already have distributors as well!

Don't get discouraged. Having writer's block is common. Why do some writers take years to complete a book? Why does it take some writers a year to? It doesn't take that long to physically write a book (the process), so how long it takes to complete a book whether in weeks or years doesn't mean the book is better than or less than a book that took years to complete. The point is, sometimes ideas flow. Sometimes it doesn't. But to help those ideas flow, you have to keep writing, keep being active. The brain is a muscle so it needs to be exercised. The more you use it, the more flexible it gets, the more stronger, focused, and clearer. I write everyday. I write for hours. I find that the more I write, the easier the ideas flow and the easier the words flow. My biggest advice to you is to keep at it, and try to write something...even one sentence a day to get started. It may be brilliant or blah, but it is exercising, and it will get your mind flowing. Hope this helps :D

I get inspired by so many things, but especially the people I meet, travels, places, news, folklore and mythology, fairy tales, science, dreams, and whatever randomness comes around. My latest new series is Sessions about a male sex therapist who happens to be a player. It was inspired by a composite of men I knew in college, who were in the same psychology program I was in, especially my human sexuality class, who were players. It was definitely one of those situations where you can't help but smile in class with the lively discussions we would have. So...Sessions was born but with my added real life experience being on the radio and the media as an authority in body image and self-esteem. It's a fun new series, told from the man's perspective so we get that very interesting inner dialogue from a player sex therapist's perspective too. Hope you get a chance to pick it up and read it. Simon Sessions is one of my favorite new heroes who starts off one way but ends up being someone you can't help but fall in love with as the series progress :D

Very long story, but I got inspired to write and was first published in 2001 because at that time, there was very little selection of books available for girls and young women in fantasy and adventure fiction, especially ones with a strong and empowering main girl character. I was volunteering as a emergency responder and pr person for the American Red Cross when 9-11 happened and saw how confused people were, especially children and came out with a series of middle grade books with the main characters being so-called ordinary girls who rose were empowered to rise to their potential to help rebuild their community, to help become leaders and initiators in their communities. Parts of that series' proceeds were donated to the American Red Cross, and my first book series sold thousands in paperback, becoming a bestseller (back in 2001) and was recommended by PBS Kids and the US Mental Health Association. I received such positive letters from girls all over, which helped inspired me to write more. I've been writing and publishing ever since!
