My book, The Horse That Haunts Dreams, came completely naturally. It was the story of my horse. As a memoir, I didn't have to "think up" a plot or story line. However, I'm also working on fiction and that is a bit harder. I'm an avid reader, have always had the highest scores in my English and language comprehension testing. The hard part about creative fiction is the limits of your own imagination, and not doing something that's already been done. I use writing prompts to aid in expanding my "imagination" capacity. Creative fiction for me doesn't come as naturally to me as I'd like it to.
