I generally don't force my hand so writer's block is something I haven't dealt too much with. By force my hand, I mean if what I'm writing doesn't come to me, I stop writing. When I do run into that wall though I follow the same rule. I stop writing and do something else.

Something Special Just for You is the result of poems that were previously written that I wanted to do something with. Emergency Call which is one of the newer poems in the collection was inspired by school shootings and the lack of value for human life.
