Hi Stephen. Yeas I’m definitely planning more Dark Theory books. I hope to have a Novella/novel like a 1.5 sequel out by the end of 2024 followed by another lengthy installment. I have a new stand alone sci fi book coming out this November 2024 called Saint Elspeth which you may enjoy. Thanks!
Wick Welker
Haha thanks! I hope you enjoy them. I have a new sci fi book coming out by the end of this year 2023. Look out for it and thanks for the support!

I really should. I have a webpage. Which is terrible and not maintained. The problem here is I’m lazy.

Absolutely! I'll have paperback and hardback available on the release date, April 17 2022

Thank you so much for checking out Refraction. And yes I have very good news. I'm on the verge of releasing info about my next book which is a 200K word sci fi (and kind of fantasy) book which is the beginning of a trilogy. I'll be doing cover art reveal in the next few weeks. The book will be published April 2022. Stay tuned and thanks for reaching out.

That’s really cool of you Wick, to interact with the community so openly and with such zestful interest in the genre! Just an observation when I arrived at the page to follow you as Refraction looks like it’s going to be a killer read! Unfortunately, I did not win a copy, but it looks to be a stellar (maybe a little pun intended) read when I finish ‘Into the Wild’ as that was my first book upon recently joining the community here! Be well and keep safe my friend 👋

I was driving around Seattle and thought to myself, "This would be a sweet place for some zombie battles."

The third installment of my zombie-thriller of the Medora series. The third volume is now totally post-apocalyptic, taking place about 75 years after the fall of modern civilization. The third book mostly takes place in the ruins of Seattle.

There's always more planning, outlining, and story crafting that you can do but there comes a point where you simply need to write. Don't get bogged down trying to write the perfect story before you actually start writing. The early stage of writing a novel is about volume: get the words on the page.

I’ve made this very observation recently with journaling; of all things, right?! There are certain thoughts or emotions that I enjoy memorializing through my journal. I truly believe that our memories are our most faithful modicum of nostalgia, and reflecting on the fondness of the past. Something precious and worthy of our time to pen those thoughts. At times, I will go weeks without writing a single word in my journal. It’s not as if there’s a shortness of things to write about, rather it’s as simple as getting started. Procrastination, if you will. The thing is, once I start with the intention to write a single thought or reflection, the ideas pour out in contrast and detail. That’s what journaling, writing even, should be about at its very core. I’m now trying to make this a daily habit. I only wanted to comment regarding this as just “get the words on the page” is an ideal way to summarize this concept! It’s about doing, putting thoughts into action, and the rest will just follow. Thank you for the pro tip!
